About us
About us
Goldcrest Care (GCCare) is a disability and aged care services provider. We take pleasure in our culturally sensitive services that are tailored to the specific needs of the people we work with. We are inspired by the positive differences we make in people’s lives. Everyone is family at GCCare, and if you come from a culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) background, we have the ideal environment for your disability and aged care needs.
At the heart of our services is the believe that everyone, regardless of their circumstances has capabilities and agency. Through the strength-based approach we harness these inherent capabilities of our clients to drive the support they need. Thus, our services are underpinned by the uniqueness of the individual, their cultural context, and the overall policy environment. We offer services in disability and aged care support as follow:
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) was introduced in 2013 and is how people with disability under the age of 65 receive specialised care and support for their health and wellbeing. The scheme is overseen by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) and allows individuals with a permanent and significant disability to access government funding.
The NDIS focuses on the individual and provides them with the choice to decide where and how to use their funding. Supports can be across many areas, including employment, allied health, accommodation, independence, outdoor activities, sport and community access.
Through the NDIS, funding goes directly to the individual to allocate spending on the services they need from the provider of their choice. A plan is created for each eligible NDIS participant based on specific individual needs and progress goals.
